Air plants

I found a few over sized shells on the side of a pond. Add a couple of air plants and a little bit of spanish moss and you have a cute little arrangement.
Sorry there hasn't been much to look at around here lately. Hopefully we will move soon and I will be able to start cooking again, and have my crafting supplies out. I promise soon there will be more projects and recipes.

Easter projects

Tomorrow is Easter, here are a few cute things you can make.
Fold your napkins into bunnies, you can find step by step instructions here.

Can you tell its a bunny?
Or you can make these really cute bunny finger puppets over at The Purl Bee.
There is a complete tutorial over there with printable pattern too.

I made these three guys out of some scrap wool felt I had around. They have button eyes and felt ball tails. I think they turned out well and would make a nice stuffer for an Easter basket or even a decoration.

Here they are in the wild.

Tiny flowers

Weeds from the front yard, tiny flowers in a bobbin. This would be really cut in a window sill. If only I could find my thimbles in all the boxes in the garage. Then the flowers would last. Once we get settled and unpacked I will find my thimbles and do some tiny arrangements in those too.

pussy willow branches

Well I still want to make more of these branches but we are going to call it done for now. I think they look good, and would look great with a few more to fill it in more.

Not quite the real thing after seeing this photo I took yesterday, but I still think they look good. I love them and that's all that matters. And maybe that they will last a lot longer then the real thing.

Wet felting wool to make pussy willow branches

I have been felting little grey pebbles to make some fake pussy willow branches. Betz White made some great colorful ones you can see here.

I have only made a few branches so far. They look so realistic, Ben thought they were real. Here is a little sneak peek. I need more branches and better light for photos. Check back in for finished photos.

Progress....

It is far from done, but I made a lot of progress today. I still need to do the crown moulding piece and the base with drawer. I think it is mahogany.

Dragonfly shadow box

Recently I found a dead dragonfly on the window sill at work. Add a couple of twigs with seed pods from the backyard, a $7. shadow box and a piece of textured cream scrap book paper. Instant nature shadow box.
